Name: Carl Hudson D.O.B: 10/10/66 Born: Bradford, 10th October 1966 Position Played: Defender Joined Coldstream: July 2006 Time spent with the club: 1 year Other clubs played for: Bradford City, Nottingham Forest, Rochdale, Guisley, Spittal Rovers About: Big 'Carlo' offered vast experience and great technique - both in the air and on the deck. The Yorkshireman, once on the books at Bradford City in the late 80's under Terry Yorath, made several first team appearances for the Bantams. Carl's experience helped Coldstream's promotion bid in 2006/07 due to his time in the professional game. A superb voice to have on the pitch, Hudson talked his way through matches. Honours: Promotion to East of Scotland premier division 2006/07 Managers Played Under: Thomas Blaikie, Colin Gracey Best player played with: They are all useless! Best opponent: Mark Windram (Eyemouth Utd) Scottish Cup: Defeat against Hawick Royal Albert (2006) Strengths: Heading, tackling, talking, organising Weakness: Pace Superstitions: Big Carlo always smoked a cigar before a game... Dressing room comic: Me! They will be lost without me this season! Memories/stories: That win at Gala Fairydean on the opening day of the season (2006/07) and the 9 - 1 capitulation of Kelso United in the league cup were both important results. I will always remember Lee 'The Rainman' Lambert's weekly quotes too. "I think I've got alcoholics poisoning!" - he's some boy! Best goal scored: A bullet header in injury time up at Netherdale to secure a 2 - 1 victory against Gala Fairydean Do you think the game has changed: Yes - there are too many coloured boots nowadays! Where are they now: Eyemouth United (East of Scotland first division) |
